Upcoming Events Our annual Fall Plant Sale Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2009, at the Hermann Park Garden Center, 1500 Hermann Drive, Houston, TX. Violets of all types such as standards, miniatures, semi-miniatures, and trailers will be available. Other gesneriads such as episcias and streps and supplies such as potting soil, pots, and fertilizers will also be featured. A demonstration on “Propagating African violets” will be held on Sunday at 11:30am presented by Elaine Click, an AVSA Master Judge. A demonstration on ”Potting Up African violets” will be presented on Sunday at 2:30pm by Mary McFarland, an AVSA Master Judge. Club members will be available to answer general questions on growing African violets. Plant sale hours are: Saturday October 3, 2009 - 10am-4pm Sunday October 4, 2009 - 10am-3pm Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
