Thank you for you interest in Shrine BullFest! Shrine BullFest is a fundraiser for Sharon Shrine. BullFest is now in its 18th year of production. It has become one of the most popular events in East Texas. Shriners have had such a tremendous amount of success with this benefit that it has led to more professional cowboys wanting to enter than can be accepted!

Shrine BullFest has resulted in sold-out performances. The timing of the event is coordinated with Lindale's Annual CountryFest (established in 1985). The dedication and work of the Shriners and organizers, and the financial support from the business sponsors and supporters have all contributed to this overwhelming success. The best entertainment is presented at the Shrine BullFest: Specialty acts, audience participation events, raffles and drawings, along with live remote coverage. All of these have contributed to the popularity of BullFest.

Proceeds from the Shrine BullFest benefit the operation of Sharon Shrine Center, located on Highway 31 E. in Tyler, Tx. The Shrine headquarters, in which Shriners meet and plan, is supported chiefly through fundraisers. The only pay a Shriner receives is in seeing a child recover, or at least receive necessary medical help that otherwise may not have been possible. Whether they are participating in a fundraising event or transporting a child, Shrine units volunteer their time and expense. Thus, support of "the world's greatest philanthropy" will enables Shriners to meet their goals. Thank you for your support.

Forever Memorial  Shrine BullFest is a memorial to former potentate and co-founder

of bullFest: Fred Moore. In 1999 Shrine BullFest began as a concept to not only enhance Lindale CountryFest but to help

benefit Sharon Shrine Center. There have been countless lives affected by Fred Moore's dedication to the oath he

took and the meaning of being a shriner. Fred passed away on March 22, 2010. He left behind a legacy not only with

the shrine, but also with everyone he met, and with every child and their family whose lives he played a part in. Personally,

I will forever miss Fred but be eternally grateful for the privilege of having called him "friend".

18th Annual Shrine BullFest

The Lindale Shrine BullFest is a fundraiser benefiting Sharon Shrine Center, located in Tyler, Texas. Yearly it results in sold out performances, and has proven to be one of the most popular rodeo events in East Texas. It has become a tremendous success, resulting in more professional cowboys wanting to enter than can be accepted! Last year’s bull riding allowed 55 entries and denied more than 50.

The overwhelming success of BullFest is due in part to Stock contractor, Jerald Smith of Wing Rodeo Company, who is well known on the pro-rodeo circuit. He has had stock entered and televised in the "PBR," movies, and the National Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cowboys are very much aware of Mr. Smith and his stock's reputation, thus bringing the top ranking bull riders to Shrine BullFest.

Saturday October 8th, the fun begins downtown with a pancake breakfast and The Harvest Hustle. The Hustle’s 1K and 5K run begin at 8:30 a.m. Also downtown, the Lindale Chamber of Commerce will host their annual CountryFest celebration at Blackberry Square. CountryFest is full of good food, games & rides for the kids, music entertainment throughout the day, arts & crafts, an all day auction, and much more. While you're there you can say "hi" to the crew from KMOO 99.9FM, will be downtown doing a live remote broadcast throughout the morning... but the fun doesn’t end there!

Gates open and sensational live music will fill the air out at the Lindale Rodeo Arena starting at 6:00, and a night of heart-pounding bull riding begins at 7:00 p.m. This is all kicked off by an arena parade of the planet's finest vehicles from Lone Star Dodge & Long Horn Ford of Mineola. Following the sponsor vehicles, you will see professional bull riders in action on some of the most notorious bulls, brought to you by more fine sponsors such as: Lindale Chamber of Commerce, NBC 56, Fox 51, ACR Services, Lindale Candy Company, Cavender’s Boot City, Cameron Excavating, Jeff Butler’s Asphalt, Pct.5 Constable, BrookShire’s, Threlkeld & Company Insurance, Texas Rose Horse Park, Denson Construction, Tyler Welder’s Supply, Wal-Mart Supercenter, Braswell Paint Co., Fleming Farm & Ranch, Longino’s Bail Bonds, Texas State Bank & Trust, Smith Co. Sheriff’s Off., SouthSide Bank, Kidd Jones, Trinity Mother Frances, Hawley Disposal, and The Forum Center, just to name a few.

Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge will be sponsoring reknowned announcer J.R. McLelland. You can be sure he will add a fabulous narrative to the evening's festivities! Texas Rose Park joins Brunson Equestrian Center in hosting the award winning GhostRiders. You will not want to miss their amazing flag presentation during the opening of BullFest. The Ghostriders became the official rodeo drill team of Texas when Governor Rick Perry signed House Concurrent Resolution No. 136 on June 15, 2007. These marvelous horsemen will be performing throughout the evening at this year’s Shrine BullFest. Cavender’s Boot City will once again bring Mutton Bustin' to BullFest: where kids 6 years old and under compete on sheep-back for a championship buckle. You got to see these little wranglers ride! And of course, you can't have a bull riding without bull fighters! Thanks to Southside Bank, once again we have these dare-devils dressed in bright shirts, ragged shorts, and makeup. Courageously, they place themselves in harm's way to rescue the cowboy from the bull when he is in danger.

Dakota's Steakhouse is serving up the wildest and the best in entertainment. This year Funny-Man Cameron Keeton will be delivering a must-see performance. He knows, and has what it takes to keep rodeo audiences entertained...he combines comedy with all of his acts, as a barrel clown or otherwise! Talent at its best! But even more important than that, we guarantee you will laugh yourself out of your seat during his show!

Once again the favorite event at BullFest: Mexican Poker(as if the bull riding action isn't enough to keep you glued to your seat!) Mexican Poker is where brave (?) cowboys hold a card game in the middle of the arena while a fighting bull thrashes about; the last player left in their chair wins the pot! This year’s “poker game” is sponsored by Ozarka Water. Shrine BullFest wishes to thank Trinity Mother Frances Clinic for their sponsorship and the printing of the tickets to BullFest.

So come out for bull riding at its best: great acts, clowns, food and prizes, a special raffle, and especially, it benefits a fantastic organization doing good works: The Sharon Shriners!

 Todd Freeman and Bullet Proof

After CountryFest, come down to Lindale’s Championship Arena on Hwy 16 W. and get ready for the best bull-riding in Texas! The 18th annual Shrine BullFest kicks-off at 6:00 P.M. with some of the best musicians the state of Texas & a couple of other states have to offer! 2016 BullFest opens with a group that is synonymous with excitement and packed performance venues: Todd Freeman and Bullet Proof.
