Today, I stood in the shadow of Pike’s Peak. Gazing up to the top of that beautiful snow-covered mountain, a thought entered my mind. If I could climb to the top, and get closer to God, could I clearly see where He wants to lead us as a Church? If I rose above all the noise and cares of this world, would it be easier to hear His voice in my soul? We have some really important and life-changing decisions ahead of us as we seek His guidance for the future. And, to be honest, it’s not always easy to distinguish between His will and our own. Even so, we can’t avoid making decisions just because it’s difficult.
I am confident in my Lord, and I know that if we seek only to do His will and are determined to do only that which gives Him honor and glory, that He will indeed lead us by His Holy Spirit. I know that I speak for all of you when I say that, as a Church, we desire above all else, to reach lost souls and bring them to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. As we begin to discuss the possibility of relocating, we will all be torn between the excitement of a new vision and the affection for this place that is so dear to our hearts. I personally have decided that I do not want to be led by either emotion. I want to follow Jesus, wherever He leads.
By the way, I got the answer to those questions. It is not my effort that rises to meet God, but God who, in His loving way, reaches all the way down to where I am. Through the hustle and bustle, amid the daily grind, I need only stop and listen for that still, small voice.

God's Plan of Salvation
The Bible says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9). The word confess means to acknowledge that Jesus is Savior and Lord, to believe with all your heart that Jesus died on the cross for you and came out of the grave, believe that He is alive and will change your life as you follow and obey His teachings.
Pray (call upon) to the Lord and Be Saved:
The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13). Whoever means anyone can ask God for forgiveness of sin and turn from sin and follow Jesus.
If you believe all of the above, then pray this simple prayer and mean it and you will be saved...
"Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I know You died on the cross for me. I now turn from my sins and ask You to forgive me. I invite You into my heart and life. I trust You as Savior and will follow You as Lord. Thank You for saving me. Amen."

T.G.I.F. (Today, God Is First)
Join us for our NEW Wednesday Evening Program beginning September 10th, 2008.
Here's the scoop:
WHEN: Every Wednesday Evening
TIME: 6:45 pm - 8:00 pm
We are using our own curriculumn and will begin with teaching the 10 Commandments (and that Jesus is the only one who has ever been able to keep them all perfectly!). These are our guidelines and they will be taught along with related verses from the New Testament. (We will be using the King James version of the Bible for all of our text and memory verses).
AGES: Kindergarten thru Sixth Grade and will be divided into multi-age groups (as with VBS):
F.B.I. (Firm Belivers in Christ)
C. I. A.(Christians In Action);
Crusaders for Christ... and others to be named later!
We will have Game Time; Bible Stories; Memory Verses; and Crafts, and, of course, Snacks! There will be fun hands-on activities and lots of movement to involve the children in discovering important truths about God's loving grace.
