|A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US... |
The Cornerstone Church is a non-denominational church that is spirit-filled and believes the whole Bible is the infallible Word of God. To know Jesus, and to serve Him is our priority. Our vision is to be a repairer of the breach, and to be a gathering place for people who need salvation, healing and restoration. Our mission is to reach as many souls as possible in these last days, and show them the way to eternal life. Everyone is welcome to worship with us.
|Meet the Pastor and his wife... |
Ken Smith has been pastoring for 15 years at The Cornerstone Church. His favorite scripture is Psalm 23. He has been married to Jeannie Smith for 30 years, and together they have one son, Matthew, aged 26. Ken has two other sons, Robert and Kelly, from another marriage and Jeannie has one daughter, Laura, also from a previous marriage. Together they have four grandchildren. They love the Lord and desire to do His will in all things. Please pray for them, and the church, as they serve the Lord together.

The Alaska Update! At North Pole we recently had Evangelist Stephen Powell with us teaching on 'How to Receive Your Healing'. His burden is for the native villages of Alaska. Several of those attending his services testified to receiving healing in their bodies, and a couple received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
He also ministered at Golden Heart Church and every deaf person was healed! It seems as if his calling is in the gift of healing.
Our new Bible Institute will open in September 2014! We need help in advertising our mission school. If brochures are needed, let us know.' Fourteen classes will be offered to the students.
Some of the classes offered are 'Hearing God's Voice/Finding God's Purpose; Spiritual Gifts; Principles of Biblical Leadership; Prayer and Intercession; Survey of the Old Testament and Survey of the New Testament.
A limited amount of housing is available and is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Limited scholarships are available. Only students with special needs will be considered for these. Once accepted as a student, one may apply for a special needs scholarship.
We are again enlarging our tents, and are in the process of purchasing some additional property for the school. We appreciate any help in that area, a pledge or one time gift would be so appreciated.
We thank you for your obedience to the Lord's calling to help us take the Good News of Christ to the cities and villages of Alaska. May God continue to pour out His blessings upon you for your acts of obedience.
Joyce and I thank you for your prayers as well. "This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."~~1 Timothy 2:3-4
You have our love and prayers,

'You Must Be Born Again' Taken from John 3.
I heard a man say one day that he had a PHD in 'Past Having Doubt.'
If the Lord came today, would there be any doubt with you if you would go to heaven, or be left behind?
There shouldn't be any...if you've truly been born again.
Our lesson is about a man named Nicodemus. He came to Jesus by night, and asked Him questions. Jesus told him, 'Ye must be born again.' He asked Him 'How can I enter back into my mother's womb'?
Jesus told him, what is of the flesh is flesh, what is of the spirit is spirit. Unless your born of the water and the spirit, one cannot enter the kingdom of God.
The simple truth is you will go to hell if you are not born again. There is no choice, you must be born again!
It's like a newborn going from a womb to a brand new changed life! That's the way it feels to be born again.
It's a spiritual thing...Jesus is the Way, the only Way! When a person is changed, he lives a different way...he thinks differently.
Today is Easter representing the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Mohammed and Buddha are still in the grave, but Jesus came out of that tomb on the third day, and He is sitting at the right hand of the Father.
We serve a living Savior, and we have something to shout about! We can no longer live the old way, our attitude changes, our words change, the whole world changes for us!
Our prayer should be like the song we sung today, 'Lord, Prepare me to be a Sanctuary'. Our body is the temple of God, He lives in us!
We are partakers of the divine nature...it's Christ in us, the hope of glory!
