MISSION STATEMENT
1. The John G. Tower PTO is a nonprofit parent teacher organization whose membership includes all parents/legal guardians of registered students at John G. Tower and the teachers/staff at John G. Tower.

2. Our PTO’s mission is to establish a close relationship between home and school by advancing opportunity for all parents to become involved in the John G. Tower School community.

3. Our PTO will raise funds to enhance the educational facilities and opportunities for the students, teachers and staff of John G. Tower that are not otherwise provided for in the BISD budget

4. Our PTO will provide and support school and family social interaction activities, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children.

5. Our PTO will provide an environment that brings a closer harmony between the home and the school, so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children.

6. It is our PTO’s belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.

Goals
1) Remain child focused.
2) Welcome and promote all parent involvement in our PTO programs/committees.
3) Promote student involvement in community service efforts.
4) Continue to support our school while exercising fiscal responsibility.
5) We are committed to unite students, teachers, staff and parents as one family in a positive atmosphere.
6) Raise the funds needed to purchase John G. Tower items not provided for in the BISD budget.

BISD Background Checks
This is just a friendly reminder that every year, every volunteer needs to fill out a new BISD Background Check Form. This form can be found on our volunteer page.

PTO Meetings

The PTO holds meetings monthly however they are not very interesting when no one shows up. This is a perfect time to find out what is going on and to share your ideas. Look for a calendar when the new school year begins for the dates of the upcoming meetings.
ALERT ALERT ALERT!!! We are in need of volunteers to keep the PTO going. Some positions are still open for the current school year. Please contact John Reberger to get more information. Please help keep Tower PTO going strong!

What does the PTO fund?

Just to name a few...

School Events: Fall Carnival, Holiday Store, Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, Family Reading Night, Family Movie Night, 5th Grade Finale,Principal Paw Pride, Incentive Recess, Staff Appreciation Week events, Drug Free Week, and Pre-K Literacy Night.

Some of the items the PTO purchased for Tower: Concrete for the half court basketball court, lamination paper, colored butcher block paper, office supplies, Science Fair awards and refreshments, hospitality for science fair volunteers, trophies for science fair, the binder combs for binding machine and playground accessories.
