Couple commended for taking stand against city

I have lived at Lake Ransom Canyon for 13 years. It is a beautiful and peaceful community.

I was summoned for jury duty at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 1. When I received my summons, I thought it was a joke. I was chosen to reside on the jury. As I arrived the next morning, I was anxious to hear why I was present. The case/complaint was about a homeowner/neighbor that wanted to erect a ham radio operator antenna!

I will not elaborate about the trial. I do want to commend the doctor and his wife for taking a stand against the City of Lake Ransom Canyon.

I am glad that I was one of the first in history to hear the case that was presented.

I want to welcome the couple with open arms to our community. I believe that the other jurors feel the same, as when the trial was over we did offer our apologies for what our City Council had put them through.

I hope in the future that the City of Lake Ransom Canyon will take pride in the residents that are taxpaying citizens and resolve issues prior to holding another jury trial!
