Straight Key Night

For the last couple of years, Texas has been the most active state on Straight Key Night. Help keep it that wasy. Join the fun that starts at 0000Z, 01 JAN 2010 (which is New Years Eve local time) and lasts 24 hours. The object is to work other SKN stations using a straght key or a bug, but no electronic keyers and ragchew for a few minutes. Most will tell what kind of key they are using and perhaps a bit of its history. A lot of stations run vintage gear during this event. Expect to hear a few Heath HW-16s, DX-20s, Globe Scouts, and maybe, just maybe a Command Set from a B-17 bomber. Filing a formal entry is easy, basically emailing a copy of the stations worked to the ARRL.
