Welcome to the Waco Calligraphy Guild
The Waco Calligraphy Guild is a diverse group of people with a common appreciation of visual forms and, in particular, beautiful hand lettering.
A primary goal of the guild is to provide learning opportunities. One need not be a practicing calligrapher in order to be a member. Many members come with a background in a related art field. Some enjoy the activities as observers.
Regular guild meetings are held at 10:15 AM on the second Saturday of the month except for August and for December when a holiday party replaces the regular meeting. The regular meetings are held at the Waco Art Center located on the beautiful campus of MCC College, College Drive in Waco Texas.
Visitors are welcome to attend guild meetings. Non-members may also attend paid workshops and other guild activities in some instances. Welcome! We invite you to attend a meeting and meet us. You will enjoy lettering, book arts and fun times. Our membership dues are only $20 per year and include email newsletter, library access, lots of other fun priviledges.

Our yearly guild calendar will be available for sale in September. Be sure to get your order in now ! Each page is hand colored by the guild members and a makes a lovely gift for friends and family. The Waco Arts Fest will be Sept 19 and Sept 20th -Downtown Waco. Come visit our booth and make your own weathergram. We will have a lovely exhibit with members calligraphed pieces for sale plus "A Scriptorium Shop" with cards, jewelry, bookmarks, etc. for sale" Come and say hi !

Our guild has programs for everyone. Just a few of our programs : creative boxes, accordian books, handmade paper, calligrams, different styles of calligraphy, watercolor backgrounds, greeting cards, bookmarks and special gifts . We also letter all the lovely paper doves for the Hillcrest Hospice Christmas Trees at the Richland Mall in December. We also hold special mini afternoon workshops on topics that are always fun and interesting, suitable for beginners to advance levels of skills. Beginners are always encouraged and welcome at all of our meetings.
