Welcome to the WIP Website! WIP is an organization created and run by UT students with the focus of learning about psychology and related disciplines, preparing for post-graduate studies, giving back to the community, and fostering new friendships. We are currently celebrating our tenth year as an organization! We really want to encourage our members to get involved in the organization. You can only benefit from an organization what you are willing to put into it, so don't miss out on the opportunities and resources we have available - get involved!
Mission Statement
As a student-run psychology association, we strive to:
- Create a women-friendly atmosphere that supports and encourages the professional development and advancement of women in psychology
- Help students learn about the diverse professional options in psychology and help them in preparation for graduate, law, or medical school by inviting speakers from the psychology community and encouraging informal discussions.
- Create a network between members and professionals at the university and in the community
- Provide a social atmosphere for members to get to know one another
- Offer opportunities to interact with each other and the community through volunteer activities
EVERYONE is always welcome, that includes YOU!
