Membership Requirements How to Become a Member
Dues $35 per year or $20 per semester. If paying dues, please pay with cash or check. You may give your dues to Treasurer Rachel Reed at any meeting, or you can drop off your check to Alice Andrews in the Undergraduate Advising Office (SEAY 2.218). Make checks payable to Women in Psychology. Dues must be paid in full by October 23, 2007! Point System To encourage our members to get involved, we have a point system in place. Here's how it works:
Social Activities= 2pts Volunteer Activity = 3pts Members will be awarded points for each activity she or he is involved in. Don't worry about keeping track of points, we'll do that for you! Just don't forget to sign in on the sign-in sheet that will be circulating at each meeting, event, or activity, since that's how we keep track of how many points you have. You must have at least 6 points by the end of the semester to be invited to the End-of-the-Year Banquet and to be eligible for an officer position for next year. Benefits of Paying Dues Dues-paying members are eligible for all sorts of neat things, so go ahead and pay them! After awhile, they'll pay for themselves. Members who pay dues will receive significant discounts on the club t-shirt (if they wish to purchase one) and will be entered into our gift card drawing later in the semester. Also, payment of dues will be one of the criteria for eligibility to attend the End of the Year Banquet! What Your Dues Pay For Dues help pay for gift cards for the speakers and food at the meetings. And if you meet the requirements, your dues help pay for the End of the Year Banquet. |
