The Austin Children's Hospital offers a College Volunteer Program. College students are able to give their time on a semester long basis so it fits in with their college schedule. By the end of the semester you fulfill a 40-hour commitment by working a four-hour shift once a week. You can volunteer in both clinical and non-clinical settings.

Being a big brother or big sister is about spending time with with children doing small activities that will make a difference in their life. Through the Site-Based BigBrotherBigSister program you would meet at the child's school for about an hour each week during lunch for the school year. There is also a community-based opportunity to mentor an elementary student three times a month for a minimum of one year. Previous volunteers have taken their Little Brother or Sister to Hobie Day on Lake Travis as well as an annual camp-out. Go online for more information and an application checklist.
