Every active member
pays dues to the club. Our current dues
are $85 per quarter, which includes the cost of six (6) dinner meals. Fund Raising. Without having fund-raising, none of our good works would be
done. Once or twice a year
we have a ‘White Cane’ day, to solicit donations from our neighbors. Also, donations from Currently, we are in
the process of developing new fund-raisers, since our primary fund-raiser has
recently ceased operations. One of the
new fund-raiser is selling “Lions of Virginia Foundation” (LOVF) raffle
tickets. All fund-raising
income, with the exception of purchases to produce the fund-raiser, goes back
into our service projects. Lions Clubs
maintains two accounts: 1.
Activities (charitable donations): Income from fund-raising
income is placed in this account. 2.
Administrative: Income
from dues, 50/50, etc. is placed in this account. In order to support
our service projects, every active member is expected to assist (work). We also have fun while
working, and the knowledge that we are serving the community.

represents the Virginia State bird (Cardinal) and the Virginia State flower and
tree (Dogwood), as well as the Lions Emblem.
