Prompted by the disastrous hurricane Camille, The Lions of Virginia Foundation was founded in 1972 by the Lions of Virginia. The Foundation focuses on involvement in disaster relief, sight and hearing conservation and other areas of The International Association of Lions Clubs emphasis, within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Your Lions Club, Bailey's Crossroads Host, has purchased a number of LOVF (Lions of Virginia Foundation, Inc.) Raffle Books which our club will be selling. To those of you who may wish to know more about LOVF - kindly visit the website at www.lovf.org. The Raffel Books which Lion Mike presently holds, consist of thirty tickets per book that are to be sold at $30 per book or $1 per ticket. These Raffle Books will be available at all future club meetings for distribution and purchasing.

If you are unable to attend our meetings, please send an e-mail to Lion Mike (Valencia98ma@cox.net) and he will see that the quantity of books requested are made available to you.

The winners of $10,000 (First Prize), $500 (Second Prize) and $500 (Third Prize) will be determined at the upcoming State Convention to be held at the Sheraton Premiere, Tysons Corner, at the end of May 2009.
