Historically, only 30 percent or so of the community pays dues in BPCL. We could do so much more if more of our neighbors participated. Please pass along this website to your neighbors and encourage them to join BPCL and to offer their participation. Our community is as good as the effort of the homeowners and residents. Pass it on!!

Bellamy Plantation Meeting Minutes
FEBRUARY 2011 Meeting Bellamy Plantation Civic League Board Meeting February 5, 2011
The board meeting was called to order at 11:22 am by Rose Chandler, president. The meeting was held at Rose Chandler’s house (1620 Grey Friars Chase) and was attended by Rose (President), Emma Boston (Treasurer), Lee Mailander (Secretary), Steve Johnson, Jack and Barbara Preston, and Bob May. The main topic of discussion was Event Planning for the upcoming year. Regularly scheduled events include: • Easter Egg Hunt in the park – scheduled for April 16th @ 10:30 am • Two garage sales – tentatively scheduled for April 30 and October 1, from 8 - 12 • National Night Out – scheduled for August 2nd • Santa in the Park – December 11th from 2 – 4 pm Regarding the December function, Bob May recommended the Block Captains provide addresses for those families who would enjoy having Christmas carolers visit their homes. Further business included a proposal by Rose that Block Captains/Board members participate in a membership drive. This effort is not only to increase dues paying membership but to verify information on current members. This could be done with the delivery of the next newsletter which should be coming out in the near future. The treasurer’s report was presented by Emma Boston, who reminded us that the CCO (Community Civic Organizations) banquet was coming up later this month and that Rose Chandler, our league president, was to be one of the honorees. As a small token of appreciation for all Rose has done, Emma suggested the league could purchase her ticket. Lee Mailander made a motion that the board provide the amount of $57.37 to purchase Rose’s ticket. The motion was seconded and received a unanimous vote. The board meeting was adjourned at 12:05 pm.
