Beer Bottle Rocket
Here is a new rocket made from a multi-layer 500 mL PET beer bottle.
This bottle is a new product consisting of five layers (PET/Barrier/PET/Barrier/PET). It is extremely tough (much stronger than ordinary soda bottles), as well as a very good aerodynamic shape.
The nose cone (detail below) is made from a plastic-covered foam door bumper (complete with adhesive backing) purchased at K-mart.
The rocket is both very easy to make and also high-flying, with great flight characteristics and low-low drag.
