International adoption information for families interested in Russian adoption, Ukraine adoption, and adoption from neighboring countries
Welcome to the Washington DC Chapter of Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption (FRUA). We are one of many chapters of National FRUA. Our chapter is unique in the fact that we welcome and support members from Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware. We are the largest chapter in FRUA with over 250 members.
We provide support to families who have adopted or who are in the process of adopting from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Belarus, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, or any other former Soviet block country. We do this by providing our members with a support network that helps with parenting and a wide range of adoption issues. We coordinate regular events offering outstanding adoption information.

Russian Roots Family Camp - June 27 2009
"Dancing with the Tsars"
Please join other FRUA families and members of the Samovar Russian Folk Music Ensemble to learn Russian dances, songs, and traditions. Explore Hillwood’s Russian art collection and create a family art project of your own. At the end of the day, celebrate at a Russian Royal Ball.
For families with children ages 5 to 12.
