Thank you to all the parents who came out for our February PTA meeting! Congrats to Ms. Lilley's class for having the most PTA members there! They won the ice-cream treat! The 3th Grade program was wonderful! The kids did a super job!
There will be an opening on the PTA Board next 2009-2010 school year. The Treasurer position will be open. If you have a knack for numbers and would like to help the school and your PTA please let someone on our nominating committee know.

We have some exciting fundraisers coming up!
Yearbook order forms went home the week of February 6th. They must be turned back in by February 17th. This will be the only time books will be available for purchase, there will not be any extra ordered. The cost is $16.00 per book, the books will be all in color this year and $2.00 cheaper than last year! This is a great keepsake of your child's year at Kilby Shores.
Our Yankee Candle fundraiser will kick off February 23-March 4. We will send home a catalog and order form. These items will be back in time for Easter and Mother's Day!
Captain Bob's BBQ and Fried Chicken Dinner! The PTA will be selling tickets for a down home dinner on March 13th! We will send home an order envelope so you can pre-order your dinners. Each dinner will be BBQ, fried chicken, coleslaw, potatoes, and hushpuppies. The cost is $8.00/plate. There will also be some tickets available in the office for purchase.
*Things To Look Forward To*
Join the PTA! Your $5.00 joining fee benefits the students of Kilby Shores in many ways. The PTA helps to bring needed supplies to their classrooms, offers enrichment programs, and helps with yearly field trips.
Volunteer to help at one of our activities!
We want to hear from you, your comments, concerns, and ideas can help the PTA be successful.
We can always use an extra pair of hands! A lot of time or just a little, we appreciate anything you can do.
Have some extra time? Want to help out? We have an couple of committee chair openings! We are looking for a Fund raising Chairperson and a Volunteer Chairperson. If you would like more information on these positions please send an email to Janelle Snyder at the link to the left of the page.
