To educate and increase awareness of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, by providing information and support to those with autism and people within their communities in order to assist each individual to reach his or her full potential.
Learn about the Patrick County A Team
Autism is a developmental disability which affects the neurological functioning of the brain. Autism Spectrum Disorders are typically diagnosed by age three and are defined by a "triad" of common characteristics including:
- social challenges
- communication differences
- repetitive behaviors or obsessive disorders (ASD)
