About PYAC
|

The PYAC Swim Team is dedicated to providing all swimmers in the Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk and Smithfield areas of Hampton Roads with a positive and healthy swimming experience. PYAC is committed to offering a quality, year-round swim team with emphasis on teaching the values of competition through teamwork, sportsmanship and doing one’s best, achieving one's goals and most importantly having fun !!
Meanwhile all person's involved with the swim program are expected to demonstrate the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty
, Respect and Responsibility. We also strive to develop our swimmers' sense of community involvement. Annually, PYAC sponsors the community service project, "Swim for the Angels" to benefit The Edmarc Hospice for Children.
We are please with the level of experience and knowledge that our coaches bring to the team. We are proud to have the ability to offer appropriate training and practice schedules to accomodate swimmers at both the YMCA and USA levels.
