Rivanna Lions White Cane Day April 14th 2007:
The Rivanna Lions could be seen around the Lake on Saturday April 14th for the annual White Cane Day. The rainy weather put a bit of a damper on the event, but we were still able to raise a nice chunk of change. Thnanks to all of those lions that participated.
Rivanna Lions White Cane Day April 8th 2006:
Members of the Rivanna Lions Club were out in force on April 8, 2006 9am to 1pm at the Food Lion, Lake Center Pharmacy, and Citgo for the annual White Cane Day fundraiser.
This is the one time a year when local Lions go out to the community to ask for donations to help fund eye care and services for the visually impaired. Monies raised go to eye exams for those in need in the community and to help support the Lions Sight Program. We thank the local community for again supporting us on White Cane Day.
