Melvin Jones Fellowship

The Melvin Jones Fellowship is recognition of a commitment to humanitarian work. It is not an award in the tradition of Lions awards presented for specific accomplishments. Created in 1973, the fellowship is named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones. The fellowship is the foundation's highest honor and represents humanitarian qualities such as generosity, compassion, and concern for the less fortunate.
Melvin Jones Fellows receive a lapel pin and a personalized wall plaque in honor of their commitment to helping others.

Lion Jim Frawley Melvin Jones Fellowship 2008:
The Rivanna Lions presented Lion Jim Frawley the Melvin Jones Fellowship award in recognition of his commitment to humanitarian work.
Lion Gerry Kojan Melvin Jones Fellowship 2007:
At the Rivanna Lions 9th Charter Night on March 28th, 2007 Lion President Ken Quantock presented the Melvin Jones Fellowship to Lion Gerry Kojan. Lion Gerry is a charter member and has given many hours of her time to the community as a lion. Congratulations!
Lion Guy Foster Melvin Jones Fellowship 2005:
At Charter Night, March 23, 2005, PDG Jim Painter presented the Fellowship, on behalf of the Rivanna Lions Club, to Lion Guy Foster.
Lion Wayne Kendrick Melvin Jones Fellowship 2003:
On October 22, 2003, District Governor, Don Colley presented Fellowship, on behalf of the Rivanna Lions Club, to Lion Wayne Kendrick.
