Welcome to Our Website!
The South Riding Lions Club is a part of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service organization. We serve the communities of South Riding, Chantilly, Centreville, and Stone Ridge. The South Riding Lions Club was chartered under the sponsorship of the Herndon, VA Lions Club on May 15, 2002. The Guiding Lion was and still is Leroy Jackson. South Riding is located in eastern Loudoun County, 25 miles west of the Nation's Capital and near Dulles International Aiport.
Meeting Schedule: The South Riding Lions Club meets in the Fellowship Hall of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church--43987 John Mosby Highway (US 50), Chantilly--on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. for a meal and program. You are welcome to join us and see if the Lions Club is an organization for you! Please call Leroy or Jane Jackson at 703-378-5691 if you would like to attend.
Toys for Tots: The Mercer Middle School Leo Club is collecting new and unwrapped toys for children ages 1-15. Toys collected (November 19- December 17) will be donated to disadvantaged children within the Loudoun County area. Donations are also accepted and checks should be made out to "Marine Toys for Tots Foundation." Questions: Megan.Hyland@loudoun.k12.va.us
Drive In and Give: Our "Drive In and Give" event sponsored with the South Riding Women in Business on October 4 was a big success. Thanks to all who came out to support the event. We collected over 500 pounds of food for the Loudoun Interfaith Alliance;a large number of winter coats; and several eyeglasses for recycling. The Inova bloodmobile collected nearly 40 pints of blood. Thanks again for your support!
Welcome Cub Scout Pack 910: The Lions Club of South Riding is pleased to be the sponsoring organization for the new Cub Scout Pack 910 forming at Liberty Elementary School. More information will follow.
Flea Market Success: Our flea market was held on September 12 and again on September 13 during the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Womens' Annual Fall Festival and Classic Car Show. A Special Thank You to South Riding Nursery for its donation of 100 Mums for our fall flower sale. The Lions Club Sight and Hearing Van was there and 25 people received free eye and hearing examinations. A number of you inquired about the South Riding Lions Club--give us a call or e-mail--Let's talk!

What We Do
We are men and women who volunteer our time to humanitarian causes in our local and world communities. By conducting service projects and raising funds, we strive to help those in need. In the process, we enjoy the fellowship of other South Riding citizens and have fun working together. We make a real difference in our community by helping those in need!

Something to Think About

If you are a person who gets great satisfaction from sending money to charitable causes but not getting personally involved, or if you don’t like a good meal with good friends, or if getting involved in meaningful activities takes away from your "free" time, or if you won’t be satisfied with just a certificate and a round of applause for your good deeds, then the Lions Club probably isn't the right organization for you.

But, if you believe that you can never stand taller than when actively participating in projects that help someone, the Lions Club may be the right organization for you.
