Welcome to Our Website!                                                                                             &nbs
The South Riding Lions Club is a part of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service organization. We serve the communities of South Riding, Chantilly, Centreville, and Stone Ridge. The South Riding Lions Club was chartered under the sponsorship of the Herndon, VA Lions Club on May 15, 2002. The Guiding Lion was and still is Leroy Jackson. South Riding is located in eastern Loudoun County, 25 miles west of the Nation's Capital and near Dulles International Aiport. See "Our Location" link.
Meeting Schedule: The South Riding Lions Club meets in the Fellowship Hall of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church--43987 John Mosby Highway (US 50), Chantilly--on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. for a meal and program. You are welcome to join us and see if the Lions Club is an organization for you! Please call Leroy or Jane Jackson at 703-378-5691 if you would like to attend.
NEW MEMBERS WELCOME: Please come and join us! For information call Jane Jackson at 703-378-5691.
Mary Walden Community Service Scholarship Winners: Nadia Chaudhry-Waterman and Diane Meck are the 2009 recipients of the Mary Walden Community Service Scholarships! Nadia and Diane are members of the Freedom High School Class of 2009. Each will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The South Riding Lions Club is proud to present these scholarships in memory of Mary Walden, a Charter member of the Club. We congratulate the two recipients and all of the applicants.
Golf Tourney: Our 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held on June 24, 2009 at the Virginia Oaks Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia. See page 8TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT for details
Drive In and Give: Our "Drive In and Give" event sponsored with the South Riding Women in Business on October 4 was a big success. Thanks to all who came out to support the event. We collected over 500 pounds of food for the Loudoun Interfaith Alliance;a large number of winter coats; and several eyeglasses for recycling. The Inova bloodmobile collected nearly 40 pints of blood. Thanks again for your support!
Welcome Cub Scout Pack 910: The Lions Club of South Riding is pleased to be the sponsoring organization for the new Cub Scout Pack 910 forming at Liberty Elementary School. More information will follow.

What We Do  We are men and women who volunteer our time to humanitarian causes in our local and world communities. By conducting service projects and raising funds, we strive to help those in need. While doing so, we enjoy the fellowship of other South Riding citizens and have fun working together.

We make a real difference in our community by helping those in need!

Consider This

If you are the type of person who gets great satisfaction from sending money to charitable causes and avoids getting personally involved, or you don’t like a good meal with good friends, or working on meaningful activities takes away from your “free” time, or you won’t be satisfied with just a certificate and a round of applause for your good deeds, then, the Lions Club probably is not the right organization for you.

If, however, you believe that a person never stands taller than when she or he actively participates in projects that help someone, then the Lions Club may be the right organization for you.
