torch.feb2013.2.small.jpgWelcome to Richmond Torch

Former Richmond Torch President Valerie Brookeman gave a rousing talk on the poetry of Robert Burns in February 2013.

Included was a bagpipe serenade, single malt scotch samplings, and a taste of haggis.

Also captured in this photo are former presidents Mark Cooper (center) and Jim Payne (right).

Our Mission
  • to unite members of different professions in bonds of knowledge and friendship;
  • to promote the interchange of reasoned thought
  • to stimulate the growth of understanding and tolerance in society.
  • From ancient times a torch has symbolized the search for Light and Truth in our endeavors.

    By bringing together various disciplines to bear on the issues of modern society,

    we prevent the narrowing tendencies of specialization.
