Hello VCRA Members,

GREAT NEWS!!!!! Inova has agreed to host our 2011 Conference. So a big THANK YOU to the Ladies with Inova!!!!!
Details regarding the date and location will be forthcoming.

Also, we wanted to remind everyone that this is an election year and that candidates are needed for the following offices: President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. We need at least two candidates for each office. If anyone is interested in running or would like to nominate someone please contact myself or any of the Board Members ASAP, as we would like to get the ballots out shortly. I have attached the By-Laws with the descriptions of each of the officer's duties beginning on page 6 and a sample bio for anyone that is interested.

Hello VCRA Members,

Hope this finds everyone doing well. Our VCRA Annual Conference is going to be held October 6 & 7, 2011 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfax, www.fairfax.gardeninn.com. The flyer and further details will be forthcoming.

Just a reminder, this is an election year and we have only received one response in regard to candidates for the VCRA officer positions. We need at least two candidates for each of the following positions: President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Please consider serving your fellow members. It is a great learning experience and would be nice to add to your resume as well!! Please contact any of the Board Members ASAP, if you are interested.

Also, could I please have everyone verify their contact information in the attached VCRA Directory and inform me of any changes that need to be made.

10.5 CEU's have been awarded by NCRA.

Early-Bird registration fee (if dues paid before August 31, 2011) is $135 for VCRA members, $225 for non-members, and $250 for vendors.

Non-Early-Bird registration (if dues paid after August 31, 2011) will be $150 for VCRA members, $250 for non-members, and $250 for vendors (no increase).

VCU Health System is currently recruiting for a full-time Tumor Registrar to collect and retrieve data using a computerized cancer registry system and to perform case finding, abstracting, staging and patient follow up for the diagnosis and/or treatment of cancer.
