The Tumor Registry at UVA
Medical Ctr maintains data on over 30,000 cases.
There were over 2000 new cases accessioned into the registry in 2007. The
Cancer Registrar collects, coordinates and maintains the components of the
Cancer Registry in compliance with the standards of the Commission on Cancer,
the Virginia State Registry, the National Cancer Data Base and the UVA Health
System. Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Experience: 1-2 years
experience Licence/Certification: Certified Tumor
Registrar or equivalent Experience required. After proper training onsite this
position allows for telecommuting. Telecommuting provides the option for
employees to work remotely.
