IA Deployments Mobilized Reservists and active duty Sailors who deploy individually or with a small group of people are referred to as individual augmentees (IA).Br> Sailors may be asked to temporarily do an IA assignment if their skills are needed and return to their current command once their assignment is completed.

Or Sailors may volunteer to transfer from their current command and go on an IA assignment. The Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center provides administrative support while they are deployed.

The Navy Family Accountability and Assessment System (NFAAS) is used by Fleet and Family Support Center personnel to contact and connect with individual deployers and their families ensuring they are aware of the resources and support services available during their Sailor’s deployment.

Update your contact information in NFAAS to ensure you are aware of relevant IA family support news and resources. The NFAAS site offers links to valuable reference materials and gives you the opportunity to complete a needs assessment.
