Dan Boomhower
Bio: Dan Boomhower, has recently retired from teaching vocal music, for the past thirty years, at U32 High School in East Montpelier. Thanks to his work, U32 vocal students have been represent in large numbers at District, All State and All New England Music Festivals. The U32 drama productions have been amazing with Dan as Music Director. Dan has been able to share his talents with other schools since his retirement. This past Fall he was the Music Director for Spaulding High School's Musical.
Caroline Bright
Bio: Caroline is currently Miss Vermont's Outstanding Teen. An avid performer, Caroline has been singing and acting since the age of 7. Most recently, she played Belle in her High School production of Beauty and the Beast, and Lindsey in the soon to be released Vermont Voices Project movie. Caroline is currently a First Year Government Major at St.Lawrence University.
Samantha Marceau
Bio: Samantha Marceau has been dancing since she was 4 years old. The first time she started dancing, she knew that dancing was her dream. Samantha graduated college with her Associates degree in Dance. She opened Shooting Star Dance Studio in 2001, and is still going strong.
Simon Chaussé
Bio: French Canadian baritone Simon Chaussé has sung in recital and concert in Europe, Japan, Canada and the USA. Mr. Chaussé has won several prizes in International Art Song Competitions in France, Spain, Canada and USA. In 2000 he sang Antoine in the World premiere of “A Fleeting Animal” by Vermont composer Erik Nielsen’s. In 2003 Mr. Chaussé sang the role of Papageno to great acclaim in Mozart’s Magic Flute with Echo Valley at the Barre Opera House. In 2006 Mr. Chaussé sang in concert the role of Horace Giddens in Marc Blitsztein’s opera “Regina” with the Vermont American Opera Project, Lord Dunmow in Lennox Berkeley “A Dinner Engagement” with the Opera Company of Middlebury under Troy Peters and Fiorello in “Il Barbiere Di Siviglia” with the Green Mountain Opera Festival conducted by Giovanni Reggioli.
This past year Mr. Chaussé sang the tile in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Barre Opera House with Echo Valley Community Arts and PrinceYamadori in the acclaimed production of Madama Butterfly by the Green Mountain Opera Festival also at the Barre Opera House. He also performed the role of Mr. Lindquist with the Opera Company of Middlebury production of “A Little Night Music”and on July 8th 2007 he premiered a new song cycle by Vermont composer Erik Nielsen at the Rochester Chamber Music Society in Rochester VT. More recently Mr. Chaussé played the Dauphin in Shakespeare’s Henry V with Lost Nation Theater and sang two concerts of Franz Schubert’s masterpiece song cycle Die Winterreise with Wordstage Vermont. Mr. Chaussé currently teaches voice at Monteverdi Music School in Montpelier.
