VERMONT ASSOCIATION OF RED KNIGHTS MOTORCYCLE CLUB
Rutland City Fire Station
January 18, 2009

Called to order at 3:25pm by Joy Ellis (VT Association President)

Members Present:

Representing Vermont I: none present

Representing Vermont II:

Michael Coyle
Dave Harrison (2)

As per by-laws, Association treasurer Larry DellVeneri, filling in for the absent Raod Captain, collected $1 per attendee, for a total of $8, to be maintained seperately from the Association's funds.

TREASURER'S REPORT
Dues of $50 per chapter for 2008 received, plus $500 from Red Knights International, for a total balance of $700 on 6-24-08.
Expenditures: 6-24-08 -- $34.65 refreshments. 1-18-09 -- refreshemnts. Balmnace foward -- $634.58.
David Emery made a motion "to approve the treasurer's report", seconded by Dave Harrison. By voice vote, the motion was approved without any objections.
The Association does not presently have a checking account. President Joy Ellis will consult with RKI Treasurer Leo Patry for designation of VT Association as a not-for profit organization.

OLD BUSINESS

RKI convention, year 2013, is slated for Vermont, exact location TBD. Each chapter is askde to select at least one (1)member to serve on a site location committee. Vern Swint will represent VT-3 in this effort. It was noted that 2013 will be the 30th anniversary of the red Knights.

The State association by-laws were dis-approved by the RKI. Acting secretary will contact the RKI to discuss the by-laws and what means are neccessary for approval.

NEW BUSINESS
Resignation of Carl Greenwood (VT-2) as Association V.P. has been received and accepted. Carl was elected president of VT-2.
Nominating Committee(s): To be comprised of one member from each of the four chapters in Vermont for March 2009 elections of V.P. and Secretary.
David Emery made a motion, "that each chapter President will poll its members to establish a nominating member and prospective nominees for presentation at the March meeting, at which time the positions of Vice-president and Secretary will be filled." The motion was seconded by Dave Harrison. By voice vote, the motion was apporoved without any objections.

Establishment of Association vests/color: Tabled

Establishment of an Association Ride: Tabled

Establishment of a State Association website: Tabled until next meeting , as follows.

Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 1300 hrs at Rutland City Fire Department.

Motion made to adjourn by David Emery, seconded by Don Moore. Meeting adjourned at 1530.
