Another Chance Animal Refuge Effort is a companion animal refuge and adoption service. The lack of caring home environments is a tragedy.The number of homeless, at-risk and displaced companion animals awaiting loving permanent homes reached epidemic proportions decades ago! We will provide refuge for many species of companion animals; fish, reptiles, amphibians, rodents, birds, felines, canines and even the occasional exotic! We will ensure that refugee creatures are healthy, vaccinated, spayed/neutered and socialized prior to being matched with a screened adoptive permanent home.

Very little of the great cruelty shown by men can really be attributed to cruel instinct. Most of it comes from thoughtlessness or inherited habit. The roots of cruelty, therefore, are not so much strong as widespread. But the time must come when inhumanity protected by custom and thoughtlessness will succumb before humanity championed by thought. Let us work that this time may come. ~Albert Schweitzer
