The Firm

Established in 1935 by Alexei Family, the practice maintains the principles by which he operated: personal attention, excellent service, and simple, innovative solutions to clients' needs. Principal Areas of Work
Family Law: The department deals with all aspects of marriage and co-habitation breakdown. It enjoys a niche reputation in high finance issues, cases with an international element, property issues and arrangements concerning children. Child abduction is also handled, and advice is given on pre-marriage arrangements.
Private Client: Extensive private client practice advises on all matters relating to wills and the administration of probates, estates and trusts. Advice is given on tax planning, and on the construction of trusts, in order to achieve significant tax savings. The firm has also helped to achieve excellent investment returns for clients. The practice has acted in the formation of many well-known national charities, and helps them in fundraising and sponsorship.
Property: All types of residential and commercial property services are provided, including auctions, landlord and tenant disputes, leasehold enfranchisement and licensing.
Employment: Advice is given in partnership disputes, all aspects of employment law, including contracts, termination and tribunal cases, on behalf of both employers and employees. Alternative dispute resolution is offered wherever appropriate.
Clients
The large and diverse client base includes individuals and businesses worldwide, as well as charities. Solicitors around the UK instruct the firm in agency matters.
International
There are associate offices in Vienna, Alex Frank Rechtsanwaelte KEG and Sydney. The firm has recently been elected as the sole UK representative of EuréseaU and hosts the network’s headquarters.
