Shelter Poem I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter....the castoffs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal. And I was angry. Animals can't talk to us so we must give them the best possible life. They deserve it. Every day animals save people from disasters like fires, floods, natural disasters (hurricanes, etc). This is the way I give back to them.
I am Melanie. I have been helping animals as long as I can remember. I have saved many animals from the streets and even a couple from the shelters. I have always been helping animals. Almost all my animals were strays or mistreated. I enjoy helping animals find loving homes where they will be forever. Please If you need help I am here for helping you and your animal. Doesnt matter if its a dog, cat, ferret, Rabbit, Rodent, hanpster, bird, every kind of animal needs to find a good, caring home.

We have many loving animals looking for homes. Please take a look and at least consider. Younger animals arent always better sometimes your looking for a kitten but a older cat would be better. It saves you from having to train the younger animal. But sometimes you want to train and raise the animal.So make the right decision.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Dear God please send me somebody who'll care! I'm tried of running, I'm sick with despair. My body is aching, it's so racked with pain, and I pray as I run in the rain. That someone will love me and give me a home. A warm cozy bed and a big juicy bone. My last owner tied me all day in the yard Sometimes with no water and that was hard! So I chewed my leash and I ran away To rummage in garbage and live as a stray. But now I am tired and hungry and cold. And I'm so afraid that I'll never grow old. They've chased me with sticks and hit me with stones While I run the streets just looking for bones! I'm not really bad, please help if you can, For I have become just a "victim of man!" I'm wormy and I'm ridden with fleas and All that I want is an owner to please! If you find one for me, I'll try to be good And I won't chew their shoes, but I'll do as I should. I'll love them, protect them and try to obey When they tell me to sit, to lie down or to stay! I don't think I'll make it too long on my own, Cause I'm getting so weak and I'm so all alone. Each night as I sleep in the bushes I cry, Cause I'm so afraid, that I'm going to die! And I've got so much love and devotion to give, That I should be given a new chance to live. So dear God please, please answer my prayer and Send me someone, who will really care . . . . That is, dear God, if you're really there!
