Chronology of the Accelerated Progess Program (APP)

  1. At the urging of University of Washington Professor of Psychology, Dr. Halbert Robinson, the Seattle School District establishes the Individual Progress Program (I.P.P.) as an all-city pilot program for highly capable students at Madrona Elementary School. Program includes a Parent Steering Committee to formalize parent involvement. Program begins with 55 students in two classes (1-2 & 3-4).
