Eastern Europe, Russia & Central Asia Heritage Camp
“Faster, stronger, higher!”
Register now!!! - Early Bird Registration has ended, but you can still register at the regular rate!
Camp will be held Friday, August 3rd at 4pm to Sunday, August 5th, 2012 at 1pm

In honor of the Olympics that will be occurring at the same time as our camp, the camp theme is “Faster, stronger, higher!” Come learn about faster trains, stronger athletes and higher buildings and many other fun and interesting facts about Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Do you know where the oldest city in Europe is and how old it is? Or where the first satellite was launched? Or where the tallest building is Europe is located? Do you know where the athlete was from that won more Olympic medals that Michael Phelps? Do you know where the tallest chimney in the world is located? Do you know which country is known as a chess superpower?

Would you and your family like to learn more about culture from Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia?
If so and you have a child adopted from a former Soviet-bloc country, the Heritage Camp Weekend is the place for you. Families will get a chance to relax, make friends, participate in camp activities and learn more about Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia countries and their cultures. Please join us for the FRUA INC Washington Heritage Camp at Camp Lakeview in Graham, Washington.

The camp will include cultural aspects from every FRUA INC country from which we have children in attendance at the Heritage Camp. We will highlight cultural games, traditions, food and music from these countries.

The most important source of information, support, and notification of upcoming activities is our Yahoo e-mail group. We encourage members (and prospective members) to go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FRUA-Washington and join this group.

It is an active group, without too large a number of postings. If you hate email, you can sign up for a daily digest (all messages for the day in one e-mail) or "no e-mail" & read the messages on the Yahoo site board at your convenience.

The topics range from upcoming FRUA INC activities to advice between members on various adoption topics.
