Clubs be sure to enter your best project in the Community Improvement Contest by March 10th. GFWC-WS Convention was held in Yakima, April 8-10, 2011. Read all about it in the 2011 Summer edition of the Washington Clubwoman. Convention 2012 will be held in Olympia. Election and Installation of officers will happen at this convention. Watch for more convention information to come. Fall Board was September 17 - 18th 2011 in Yakima. Members donated items to Rod's House, a safe house for homeless teens in Yakima. GFWC Battle Ground will hold their annual Lady Bug Bazaar November 5th, 2011 9 am til 4 pm at Battle Ground High School, 300 North Parkway. 185 booths in 2 gyms plus the mezzanine.
GFWC Chewelah sponsored IN THE PINK Breast Cancer Awareness fun run/walk on a Saturday at the high school track and field in Chewelah. A time to be with friends and remember those who are still fighting the good fight, those who have survived, and to celebrate the lives of those we have lost. Just WEAR PINK!!
GFWC Amalak of Kalama held their annual tour of homes in December. GFWC AMALAK provides drivers from the Hendrickson Mall at the North end of down town Kalama.
