Send information to gfwcwashingtonws@hotmail.com GFWC Battle Ground will hosted the program “In Her Shoes”, presented by Cecily Griffus of the YWCA. The program presents domestic violence scenarios, in an interactive format. The purpose of the program is to educate participants on the many faces of domestic violence, asking the participant “what would you do if you were in this situation?” The program is scheduled for September 27, 2012, at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Other Southwest Washington GFWC clubs are invited, but we will need a head count by September 13, to allow for adequate materials and preparation. Please e-mail Terry Grendahl at grendhl@comcast.net, if you or your club is interested in participating. GFWC Sokico held their annual Auction May 5th at Muckleshho Casino. This year's special project was Reach Out of Federal Way (a women's homeless shelter.) Please join them and help provide a warm, safe, and friendly place for women to come in and find a home overnight. Contact any Sokico member for information and dinner tickets or call 253-896-0650. GFWC Battle Ground will hold their annual Lady Bug Bazaar November 5th, 2011 9 am til 4 pm at Battle Ground High School, 300 North Parkway. 185 booths in 2 gyms plus the mezzanine. GFWC Chewelah sponsored IN THE PINK Breast Cancer Awareness fun run/walk on a Saturday at the high school track and field in Chewelah. A time to be with friends and remember those who are still fighting the good fight, those who have survived, and to celebrate the lives of those we have lost. Just WEAR PINK!! GFWC Amalak of Kalama held their annual tour of homes in December.
