Hi! My name is Jeannie Bastasch and I teach physical education at Greenwood Elementary School. Greenwood offers a diverse PE curriculum. Students will learn health and fitness concepts, practice social and personal responsibility, record progress in skills and fitness tests in P.E. portfolios, develop movement and sports skills, and have the opportunity to complete monthly P.E. logs at home with their family.

I hope to be a health resource to the Greenwood children, families and staff. I specialize in physical activity and fitness but I do my best to learn and teach about nutrition and wellness too.

This website is obviously a "work in progress" so check back soon to see it improve!

Curriculum

Each student will have about 100 physical education lessons this year. Lessons are 35 minutes long and students either have P.E. on Mon/Wed/Fri OR Tue/Thur. The schedule will switch every quarter.

Students should come to PE ready to move! Athletic clothes, tennis shoes, and a positive attitude are all required.
Classes are very health-oriented as opposed to competitive or performance based.

In a fun, cooperative environment students will learn the skills and concepts necessary to lead an active and healthy life.
