CHECKOUT POLICIES

Students may check out books for a one week period. They can be renewed twice for one week each time. Books can be placed on hold if currently checked out by others.

There are no fines for overdue books, but there is a 2 book limit per student so they must refrain from further checkouts until the books are returned. They may be returned anytime to the book drop.

Family Resource Library

Need help with teenagers? New siblings? Family crisis? Drop by the Family Resource Library [just off the main library room] for a look at many good resource books and tapes dealing with family life.

Free Book Exchange

A basket containg used books in good condition is in the library. Students may "trade" a book from home for a new one from the basket. This is a great way to acquire "new" books and recycle the old.

Book Fairs

During the year we sponsor several book fairs where parents and children may browse and purchase new books. With each fair a portion of the proceeds goes to acquire new books for Lawton's library.
