AUCTION / Lawton Fundraiser

On Saturday, March 13th, about 160 members of our Lawton community gathered at the Space Needle at our annual fundraiser to Make A Difference at Lawton. There was food, there was fun, there was blackjack, craps, roulette, poker and there were prizes. Most importantly there were friends, gathering to support our incredible community of Lawton Elementary. The PTA is pleased to announce that we estimate our net proceeds to be $60,000. We are very grateful to all families who attended the event, bought spots at the Lawton Parties, bought into the poker games, participated in Let’s Make A Deal, bid on and bought our live auction items and raised their bid cards at the raise the paddle Make A Difference portion. Thanks also to the families that contributed to the Make A Difference Pledge Drive before the event and who’s generous sponsorship helped underwrite event costs. The PTA also extends a huge thanks to the Las Vegas, 98199 committee co-chairs for planning this very successful event for the school: Eileen Carroll, Kirsten Dumo, Natalie Hubbard, Jani Lauvrak Lee, Kimball Mullins and Tracy Pozil. Thanks also to other key supporters: Maria Alvord (Sponsorship Procurement), Nancy Knoll (Dessert Procurement and Display), Marla Master (Graphic Design), Linda Berge, Bev Clonch, Kris Croonquist and Angela Dugan (Night of Volunteers) and our fantastic Emcees and Auctioneers Brian Keaton and Eric Pozil.
The income from the Casino Night & Pledge Drive funds a significant portion of the enrichment programming and academic support for Lawton Elementary School. Your support allows these programs and school support services to continue.
