Inquirers
Class coming soon:
If you are interested in learning more about this congregation or the
Presbyterian Church (USA), or are interested in becoming a member of Magnolia
Presbyterian Church, please plan to attend the Inquirers Class. The class will be held on Sunday mornings at
9:15 am in the Mt. Baker Room upstairs at the church, beginning next Sunday
November 15, and running through Nov 22, Nov 29, and December 6.
The Strong family are in need of someone to stay with Mary Ann for a couple of hours whilst
Don goes swimming (for his diabetes) and does some shopping. If you can help once in a while
please call Kay Ramsay (282-4444). A suggested time would be 3 - 5
pm but if you can't manage those hours we could always find something
else. I would like to make up a list so that Don will be able to plan his
time accordingly so please let me know as soon as you can. Thank you very
much.

*Gathering Song (Renew 6):
As we
gather may your Spirit work within us;
As we
gather may we glorify your name;
Knowing
well that, as our hearts begin to worship,
We’ll be
blessed because we came,
We’ll be
blessed because we came.
*Call
to Worship
Leader: On this Remembrance Sunday, we join our
voices with all those in heaven and on earth who sing their praises to God.
All: In
life and in death we belong to God.
Leader: Neither death nor life can separate us
from God’s love.
All: In
life and in death we belong to God.
Leader: Come; let us worship the Lord of heaven
and earth.
All: Let
us worship the God of all creation.
*Hymn 526 For All the Saints
\
Prayer of Confession (please be seated)
Leader: The God of justice who
knows all and sees all is the same God of mercy who stands ready to forgive
us. Let us then confess our sins
honestly and earnestly.
All: God
of the living and the dead, we confess that sometimes we are more dead than
alive to the possibilities you place before us.
There are times when we merely exist.
Leader: We
have hoarded your bounty without thankfulness or generosity. We have set our minds on wrong things.
All: O
God, forgive our foolish ways, and breathe into us once more the breath of
life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(The
prayer continues in silent confession.)
Leader: Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
Leader: Through Christ, Life has been given to us as a new gift for today.
All: We
are a new and different people from this moment on! Let us walk in the Light of Christ. Amen.
Renew 276 Soon and Very Soon
*Sharing the Peace of
Christ: Mimi Park
Leader: The peace
of Christ be with you.
All: And also with you.
Leader: Let us
greet one another with signs of Christ’s peace.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, which art
in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come; thy
will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread,
And forgive us our
debts as we forgive our debtors,
And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil;
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

We thank you, then, Creator,
for all things bright and good,
The
seed-time and the harvest, our life, our health, our food.
Accept these gifts we offer,
for all your love imparts,
And what you most would
welcome: our humble, thankful hearts.

Discipleship Response
Leader: God calls each one of us to take our place
in a cloud of faithful witnesses that spans centuries and circles the globe.
All: Grateful
for God’s many blessings, we answer that call, and we commit ourselves and our
gifts to the work of God’s kingdom.
Going Into God’s World
*Parting Song (see insert) When the Saints Go Marching In
*Benediction and Response
(Renew 302):
You shall go out with joy, and
be led forth with peace;
The mountains and the hills will
break forth before you.
There’ll be shouts of joy, and
all the trees of the field
Will clap, will clap their
hands.
And all the trees of the field
will clap their hands,
The trees of the field will clap
their hands,
The trees of the field will clap
their hands as you go out with joy!
Please join us for coffee hour downstairs in Fellowship
Hall following the service.
Thank you to Sarah Madill, Mona Owen and Hwa Kang-Crosby for hosting coffee hour today.
