From the General Manager: Our golf course has come through a very cold and snowy winter in fine shape. Many of our seasonal golfing activities will begin in March. We are planning on “sprucing up” the golf course this year. We will resume our bunker restoration program along with some of the following; new post and rope restraints replacing the “old concrete-fence post-in-a tire” relics, new directional signs on the course, new and re-conditioned wood for our benches as well as new trash containers etc. I think these little touches will further improve the look of your club. I hope you think so too. Our Golf Professional Ted Wurtz, returns this month after his winter sabbatical. He will be putting together Home & Home Competitions, Senior Men’s Club Championship and Men’s Club Championship Tournaments as well as scheduling Pro-Ams for our members participation.Ted also provides outstanding instruction for those of you starting out or perfecting your game. Stop in and make arrangements for a lesson. Our 2009 tournament schedule has been established for the year. There is a complete listing on the inside of this newsletter. The tournaments have varying formats and are always a great time for everyone. Sign up. As members retire from the game and others move on to other venues, we continue to have memberships for sale at a very reasonable price. Please make your golfing friends aware of the fact that the cost to purchase a stock ownership of the club has never been more reasonable. Our Junior Clinics are being offered again this summer. They are being held the last two weeks of June and the 1st week of July. One week each, beginner or advanced $139.00 with professional instruction. Sign ups begin April 15th with advanced payment required. Call the pro shop. As the weather warms and the daylight hours extend, come out and enjoy your club. Regards, Charlie | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
