Welcome!
When you are expecting or have multiples you face unique challenges and rewarding joys that many families have already experienced. Whether a parent or guardian, nanny or granny, North Seattle Families of Multiples welcomes you to share in their understanding and support of having twins, triplets or higher order multiples.
North Seattle Families of Multiples is a group made up of familes who are experiencing the joys and and difficulties that having multiples can bring. We hold frequent gatherings, some of which have speakers on topics such as sibling rivalry or nutrition, and some of which are strictly social with refreshments and plenty of time for making new friends with multiples, exchanging ideas and gathering helpful hints. We also host several family events such as an annual family picnic.
New and expectant parents of multiples can attend the New & Expectant Parent Support Group offered several times a month. Prospective and current members are welcome to this drop-in group, free of charge. For times and dates, review our current flyer.
We hold two used clothing and equipment sales every year where members may sell items they no longer need and both members and the public may purchase items. Members get an opportunity to shop early before the public arrives. We offer a 'warm line': a list of members willing to answer questions on specific subjects which they have experience with such as breastfeeding multiples, asthma, colic, bedrest and many others. We have recently added a members only website with both a chat area and bulletin board posting area. Our monthly newsletter North Seattle News arrives in members mailboxes monthly with information on members and club events, articles related to raising multiples and a classified section where members can buy items from or sell items to other members and much more.
Membership in the North Seattle Families of Multiples is $30.00 per year. The membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. The majority of our events are held in North Seattle, just off the 130th St. exit from I-5. This sale is a great place to find gently used childrens' clothing and equipment at great prices. The sale is open to both our members and to the public. Members receive an opportunity to shop before the general public arrives.
