December Meeting Minutes
December 14, 2000

Present: PAC Reps and Advisor The meeting came to order at 12:50 Minutes for the November meeting were approved.
OLD BUSINESS
We went over the first draft of the assessment letter. Jen agreed to make a few changes and distribute to members in January. Rather than insist on a raise to $12, which many members stated seemed too large a raise to their schools, we agreed to use this letter to solicit feedback & suggestions from boards to see how much of a raise would be reasonable and feasible.
We agreed that all requests for scholarships from schools should be re-submitted to our treasurer each quarter.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Lakewood Co-op's long-time teacher, MaryEllen H. announced that she is leaving this year. Carl asked for the PAC to share info & expertise re teacher hiring. That leaves us all with a TO DO:
Get to Carl any information regarding teacher hiring, i.e. interview questions, job descriptions, advertisers, tips on the interview process.

DONATIONS:
Extra thanks go to Denise D. & the Queen Anne Co-op for their contribution of $250 to the PAC scholarship fund. We also received a low-profile contribution from Kim B's business - Thank you very much! Pam mentioned the possibility of tapping the Seattle Central Community College District Foundation for some regular funding. {Pam or anyone else - I don't have in my notes whether or not someone is planning to pursue that - Jen C.}
RESOURCE GUIDE:
Kim B. will spend some time this month compiling information regarding WNAP-type events around the area.
NEXT MEETING - DATE CHANGE:
Our next meeting is changed to January 18th at 12:30 at Tully's.
