About Our Chapter
The Tri-Cities, Washington chapter was started in January 2002. We have given out over 5000 blankets to date. They are lovingly made by volunteers of all ages and donated through local agencies and organizations, and through word of mouth. If you are interested, there are many ways to help. We accept blankets of any size (as small as 24" x 24"), quilted, tied, knitted, crocheted, fleece, denim, etc. The only criteria are that they be new, handmade, and washable in kid friendly colors. You may also donate supplies, money or time. We keep in touch with our monthly newsletter and get together for "work parties" several times each month. If you have any questions please feel free to contact anyone on our Contacts page. If you would like to be on our mailing list and recieve our monthly newsletter, go to the bottom of this page and use the "contact us" box to enter your name and email address. Be sure to check the box that says add to email list.

First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."

Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
