FUNDRAISER SUCCESS!!!
Thank you to everyone who helped make our recent fundraiser a success by purchasing bulbs or making a donation!
The students and staff sold a total of 2050 packages of bulbs with the top student seller, Glen Olsen, selling 59 packages and the top staff member, Nancy Oshie, selling 64 packages! We raised over $5,500 from the fundraiser and are currently working with Principal Olson to identify technology purchases that will best meet the needs of the students. Other top sellers were 6th grade - Caitlin Goldsberry, 7th grade - Hayley Bell, and 8th grade - BreeAnna Carson. The winning advisory class was Mrs. Auckland's class, and they enjoyed juice, pastries and fruit for their "winners breakfast."
A special THANK YOU to the numerous businesses in and around Stanwood who generously provided gift cards or items to be used as prizes for the fundraiser: Westside Pizza (Camano Island), Leslie Tripp/State Farm Insurance, Character Traits, Bajio Mexican Grill, Amigo Mexican Restaurant, Stanwood Family Chiropractic, Stanwood Camano Wellness Center, Scandia Coffee House, Orchards Nursery, Team Fitness, Starbucks, Radio Shack, Stanwood Cinemas, Haggen, Hollywood Video, Jimmy's Pizza, and the UPS Store. Looking for A Vice President
We still have a Vice President position open on the PTA Board. Ideally, this would be a 6th or 7th grade parent, or a few parents working together. There is no President of the PTA for the 2010-2011 school year (July 2010-June 2011), so it is very important that the position is filled. Plenty of training is available. Please consider this opportunity and let Shona Martin know if you are interested ( shona@snohomish.net ).
