    Our mission . . .

is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for the children of MOPS moms so that each has the opportunity to grow in their relationships with God and others.

We are excited to have the opportunity to teach and care for your children. The MOPPETS curriculum is a very special program designed for your children from birth through kindergarten. The curriculum involves music and games while your child learns about basic skills such as sharing and helping. Your children will be involved with the MOPPETS program from 9:15am-11:30am while you spend time in fellowship with other moms.

    Policy:

Illness: It is our goal to provide a safe and healthy environment for you children. If your child shows symptoms of a 101.5+ fever, runny nose, Questionable rashes, coughing, diarrhea, chicken pox, head lice, or pink eye we ask you to please keep your baby or preschooler at home. If your child is being treated with antibiotics, they need to be on the antibiotic for at least 24 hours before attending MOPPETS. Our teachers are not permitted to administer medicines, so please be sure to do this before arriving. We recognize that not all runny noses or rashes are contagious. If your child continually has a runny nose or a rash due to a non-contagious allergy, please let us know.

Questions & Concerns: Please contact the MOPPETS Coordinator, Aimee H, with any questions or concerns regarding the MOPPETS program. Since the MOPPETS Coordinator’s main focus on meeting days will be your children, please contact the MOPPETS Coordinator during the week outside of the MOPS meeting times.

Classroom Restrictions: Please do not bring non-registered children to MOPPETS. Each classroom is limited to a specific number of children.

Absences: We realize that things may come up that cause you to miss a meeting or two. If you miss a third meeting, we ask for you to contact your DGL (Discussion Group Leader) to notify us of your continued desire to attend MOPS. Otherwise, for space reasons in the MOPPETS program, we may need to re-evaluate your child’s spot in his/her class.

Peeking Moms: Leaving your child for the first time can be challenging for both mom and child. Occasionally you may feel the need to “peek in” on your child. We ask that you refrain from doing so as it can cause your child to “want mammy” that much more. With toddlers often if one cries, then pretty soon all of them are crying. Your children are in good hands and rest assured that you will be contacted by the coordinator if your child needs you.

Labeling: Please label items with your child’s’ name. Including: diaper bags, bottles, blankets, coats, pacifiers and any special comfort items, ect. Please do not bring unnecessary toys as we cannot be responsible if they become lost or broken.

Snacks: These are provided for you chills so please don’t bring snacks from home. Also if your child has any special needs or allergies to food please remind your teacher.

Infants: The minimum age for infants to enter the MOPPETS nursery is 2 months. Infants up to 6 months of age are welcome to join you during the meetings. For infants over 6 months we encourage you to utilize the nursery. Please be mindful of the appropriate age of your baby to enter the program. Also during the MOPS meeting Mentor moms are here to assist you with your baby.
