VOLUNTEER IN CARETAKERS TANZANIA PROGRAM

Caretakers of the environment Tanzania has opportunities available to work in environmental Education and conservation, through our partner Schools or organization in Lake Victoria Zone Tanzania. As a volunteer, you will be involved in every aspect of teaching environmental education, managing and maintaining the environment.

You will be preserving a type of environment that is increasingly threatened by agriculture, forestry and urban development. You will be helping to repair schools / community environmental structures, starting new gardens, painting classrooms, building desks and chairs, and assisting with other construction and labor tasks. Volunteers may also teach beginning through intermediate English pronunciation and conversation in high school classrooms.

English is the language of instruction. The schools and organization are located in town and a few of them in rural areas. Environmental education and conservation is under formal government / international programs, but it works in conjuction with this private conservation initiative which is of critical importance. By joining our program, you will be helping to preserve the environment, species and habitats in one of the most biologically diverse areas of the world.
