Using newspaper articles to track the Frontiers of the 21st Century is a realistic way to introduce these topics into your classroom while combining reading, writing, social studies, science, technology, art, and even drama.

Here are some different ways these articles can be used in the classroom:

    1. Pick news article of interest by clicking on the Frontiers category topics down the left side of this page and then scrolling through choices and printing out selection.
    2. Develop new vocabulary, write summaries, illustrate main points.
    3. Express opinions about issued involved and study related topics.
    4. Create models or dramatic sketches related to articles.
    5. Produce Frontiers news programming by videotaping projects.
