MENOMONEE FALLS YOUTH LEAGUE

FALLS YOUTH LEAGUE

General Rules of Conduct

In order to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all youth bowlers, their family members and guests, the Falls Youth League hereby sets forth the following rules of conduct for all bowlers and guests.

1.       In accordance with USBC Youth rules, there will be no alcoholic beverages allowed in the bowling area during USBC Youth Certified league bowling.  The use of tobacco products is also strictly prohibited in the bowling area.  All smoking and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be strictly confined to the bar area only.

NOTE:  USBC Youth rules prohibit the use of tobacco products by youth bowlers while USBC Certified bowling is in progress.  This includes smokeless tobacco, and applies to the bar and all other areas!

2.       To prevent accidents, all food and beverages will be confined to the rear counter areas of the bowling lanes.  No food or beverages will be permitted in the bowler’s settee area.

3.       The use of profane, vulgar, suggestive or abusive language will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

4.       Due to the large number of youth bowlers confined to a small area, physical horseplay cannot be tolerated.

5.       While the Falls Youth League does not have a specific dress code, youth bowlers must dress in a manner that is appropriate to youth activities.  Bowlers may not wear garments that bare their midriffs when standing straight, extremely revealing shorts, or other inappropriate attire.  Pants or slacks must be secured at the waist.  Garments that bear obscene or objectionable images or logos, gang symbols or sexually suggestive or explicit images will likewise not be allowed.  League officials shall be the final arbiters in determining what items of attire may not be acceptable.

6.       Caps or other similar headgear may not be worn while bowling, except in cases of medical necessity.  Such cases will be reviewed on an individual basis by league staff.

7.      No electronic devices, including but not necessarily limited to cell phones, CD or MP3 players, pagers or electronic games will be allowed in the bowler’s settee area, nor may such devices be used by youth bowlers during league bowling.

8.       Bowlers who drop out of the league after beginning the season must notify league officials.  If notification is not made in accordance with this rule, the youth bowler and his/her parents or guardian shall remain responsible for all applicable fees up to the time such notification is made.

9.       USBC rule #115c allows for the suspension by league officials of any bowler who fails to comply with the rules, regulations, conduct and policies set forth by the USBC and the league.  Such suspension may be for a limited period of up to three weeks of scheduled league activities or permanent removal from the league.

Pre-bowling

Many of our youth bowlers are involved in other activities that at times conflict with their regularly scheduled bowling time. Because of this, we allow our youth bowlers to pre-bowl for their regularly scheduled session rather than choose between bowling and other activities.

You can't pre-play a football game, basketball game, or volleyball game, but you can pre-bowl and still participate in your other sports or activities.

We have a procedure in place for pre-bowling. Click on the link below for the pre-bowling procedure and rules. If you don't bowl at a regularly scheduled session or pre-bowl, there is an absent fee of $3.00 due the next time you bowl.
