Going to a festival brings a SMILE to everyone’s face!  Open markets date back to the middle ages and are still popular throughout Russia, Ukraine, and Eastern Europe.  Music, food, games, entertainment, and shopping are all part of FRUA-WI’s YARMARKA .  There will be smiles all around as your family experiences the culture of your child’s birth country.  Based on last year’s suggestions, we have a new location, improved offerings, and the same fantastic caterer!  Come join us!

12:00-2:00          Musical Entertainment (Stas Venglevski, bayan accordion)

Silent Auction bidding (for Orphanage Support)

1:00-2:30         Children and Youth Games (offerings for various ages)

                             Tattoos, Face Painting, Craft Table

2:00-2:15         Silent Auction winners announced

2:15-2:45         Group Games (weather permitting)    

2:45-3:00            Group Cleanup

 

YARMARKA 2007

 

INFLATABLE BOUNCER TICKETS (2 for $1.00 or $5.00 for an unlimited pass) will be sold from 11:30-2:30.  This helps offset our rental costs.

 

BRING YOUR OWN BEVERAGES!  Lemonade will be available from 12:00-1:00 if you ordered the catered meal, but no other beverages will be available at Yarmarka.  NO ALCOHOL PLEASE.

 

SHOP AT THE VENDOR BOOTHS AND DISPLAY AREAS for cultural treasures, children’s books, FRUA merchandise, and more!  We are inviting vendors with ethnic offerings and family-related items.  Vendor fees are only $10 with a donation for our Silent Auction.  If you know someone who would like to bring their wares to Yarmarka or if you have a vendor to suggest, contact Carol Kalscheur at kalsc@wi.rr.com or 414-321-5920.

 

FRUA-WI LIBRARY   Learn about the many books and materials available for checkout to FRUA families.  Chapter funds were used to purchase excellent resource materials of interest to our families.  This is a great opportunity to learn about items available in the library from Deb Sumiec.

 

SILENT AUCTION for adults, youth, and children.  Bring new items that you have pre-priced to donate to the Silent Auction display at Yarmarka.  If you would like your donation(s) picked up ahead of time, contact Bill Selle at william.selle@siemens.com or 262-542-9996.  All proceeds will be given to CHARITABLE INITIATIVES for the children left behind.  Be generous.
