Discussion Group Covenant
We come together to share meaningfully and respectfully. Therefore....Listen thoughtfully and in a way that honors the speaker and what he/she is sharing. Maintain an open mind and do not criticize other's opinions. Share openly and at a level where you feel most comfortable. You always have something to offer the group. Be respectful of everyone. Consider waiting to share a second time until others have had an opportunity to share. Keep your remarks relevant and and related to the discussion. Try not to digress onto other topics. Commit yourself to the highest level of confidentially. What is shared in the group, stays in the group. Let silence be a meaningful part of your group discussion process. Let it provide reflective time and a transition between questions. |
